Every chapter was touching. I related to the struggle of coming out of the box that you were labeled to be and pushing forward and chasing your dream. The most disturbing part of the book for me, however , was about the ritual circumcision of young girls at the age of 5.

Female genital mutilation (FGM ) also known as female genital cutting and female circumcision, is the ritual cutting or removal of some or all of the external female genitalia. Apparently some kids have even died of infectious diseases from this procedure.

I am not one to judge, but in my opinion, this practice was invented in attempts to control women's sexuality, and ideas about purity and beauty.

Again, definitely a page turner and a wide eye opener. A Great read.
